Winter is coming and with it ice, snow and poor visibility. Now it's high time to prepare the car for the cold season. That means changing the tires, checking the coolant and battery, greasing the door rubbers and much more. But even the most thoroughly prepared vehicle can reach its limits on snow-slicked roads. That's when it's a good idea to have a set of snow socks with you.

What are snow socks?

Snow socks perform the same function as traditional snow chains. They give the tire an extra grip that keeps it moving on any surface. Where even the best winter tire has to give up, the snow sock can get the car moving again. In doing so, they have enormous advantages to offer over the heavy and cumbersome snow chains.

Advantages of snow socks over snow chains

Snow socks are much lighter and more compact than the heavy snow chains. They come in a convenient carrying case. This can be easily stored even in the smallest car. Thus, these approach aids can be carried all year round. So you always have them with you. Their assembly is very easy. The included gloves keep your hands warm and clean. Limit of the snow sock

A snow sock is not a substitute for proper winter tires. It serves just like the snow chain, only as an approach aid or for short-term use on particularly heavily snow-covered or icy roads. However, these aids may be legally operated up to a speed of 30-40 km/h. This will allow you to make good progress even on the most difficult road.

The minimum size of the tires is 14 inches. The maximum size is 22 inches.
The package includes a carrying bag and a pair of gloves. Included installation instructions provide detailed instructions on the proper use of the snow sock. We recommend practicing the installation of the approach aids. This gives an extra safety in case of emergency and simplifies the installation even in difficult conditions.
